Full Version: Isis or Jord?

Hi again. I'm come back with a new question of a teammate from Athenea Tongue Need advice about these 2 heroes, which one is the best? I know post-nils legions runs decreases a lot (a lot of troops loses and croops too), laurels become and essential resource...so double/triple wash and useless hero doesn't look very good. Any advices, views, brs are welcome, I'll appreciate any help
Both Isis and Jord are not very important... I guess Jord is the best...
agree triple wash of cos the best ; p
Isis is a solid hero, and has a decent lifespan, Mrb has gone mage crazy and uses her in lv 160 maps a lot, and she has a decent hit pvp, but yes, Jord is essentially isis on steroids, a much better choice iof it is available to u already.

I think if you look at total dmg over the fight Jord will surprise you, the anubis types take far too long to warm up.

Level 6 fire (over 5) also adds a further 360 a hit which is insane when added to mist and eurotas also.

Yes, jord is a monster, and if you have the resources to up her, go for it. Squinters has made some valid points about the cost being too great based on benefit, this is true if you are a low vip, and your server can't manage high lv legions. Mine can as fortuantely we have Mrb on euro s1 lol, and quite a few 150's, so laurels are not really a issue to be honest, plus I am high vip and use gold a fair amount in my washes, so that also helps, but it is really your call. Jord is a incredible hero pvp, and very gd in maps, I have played with her in both scenarios and she is monstrous, but as above, if your resources are limited, she could hurt you more than help you.

Think carefully before getting this hero going

We hv 10 people who can run OLs in our faction but we don't do it cuz arms are far more important. Even if you have laurels or gold to wash Jord/Isis, the bigger problem is with arms for 160 and 170 push. Since 160+ will be all BM again, I'd rather skip Element Hit arm than wasting my time on it now.

My take: Both heroes are not needed for any player, irrespective of VIP level.
Thanks a lot Pluton, Lyken, Aga and Prabhu. I know Isis and Jord are not 100% necessary to push any map, but the question came from a Athenean friend who wants to put something different in her build.

In Athanaton-ES, which I play, 99.5% of the players run a standart build
- Zeus: Sult+Anubis+Hera (his ephor have Mist and uses her sometimes)
- Athenea: Sult+Anubis+Hemera (his basi uses Mist too, and an Elder uses Mist/Asteria)
- Poseidon: (the basi and me uses Heph, rest uses Mist)

As you can see, a few people switch mages from Nils, the rest have no idea or start with the mage's training when they reach Anubis. No one innoves a build, except for full mechs and full mages, the rest are the same thing, and it's bored sometimes.

Anyways, thanks a lot for your help. I'm now stuck at Wind-Rush, skipping Sult, so if I finish the map I'll bring the reports here, 'cause it's difficult for me find reports of Nils battles skipping Sult.

Np Kazneth.

@ Prabhu - I never said isis and jord were a must, in fact that they are not a must, but that they can be very helpful through 160, and Jord is utterly incredible pvp, I have seen her whipe the floor with a trip washed oen of equal lv, that is where her appeal lies, essentially if you are big into your pvp, which I know many people are.

And as far as the arms, she doesn't need huge arms to be incredible, definitely not a gr6 fire, and I myself do up all arms in any case as the game will permanently fluctuate between hybrid, all bm, hybrid and so on, I am not going to sit upping as I get to each phase, I up when I am stuck or on hold for rens etc. At any rate, everyone has there own way of doing things and they all have there pro's and cons I guess. Oh, and Jord is a double washer Kaz, don't bother trip washing her, her spirit is too low to give any form of benefit, so a nice double wash will work and is not really that pricey.

As for OL, it drops flag frags, I would rather get trip the laur and frags than peanuts and frags, just gd business, but again, that depends on the luck of your server, some don't get drops after tons of runs, others get 1 or 2 frags a run I have seen, so that is entirely valid reasoning on your part Prabhu

Anyway, hope all the above helped you out Kazneth

Some solid stuff on here.

Jord is very helpful on maps for sure.

Alot do skip her and put all their eggs into one basket (with oeno) and focus on spi hit arm and a 2nd kylin (that works also)

However, a 3rd book is useful and you will need multiple ele gemming sets later for defence and attack. Later you also get the beast of a fire mage who does strike in line, so ele hit arm is not wasted effort.

Odin may end up with an old ele set for his defence, he does merit triple washing.

Anyway its all purely down to personal style, i like her, i will use her and i hate the boring path currently. I also detest carrying a deadweight bugler.

I am a VIP but I could only afford 5 training spots in all. I struggle a lot during renning phases esp. with utility heroes like Heimdall, healer, rally and MS hereoes. For a non-VIP or a VIP like me, luxury/short-lived heroes aren't an option.

Even for super high VIPs(who may not have problem training up extra heroes in the extra training spots), arms can still be a nightmare if you work on non-essential arms and lose track on essential ones.

Either way, map progression is supposed to drive your PvP potential and not the other way. PvP is driven by buffs and assy level difference IMHO.

Not sure if you noticed a point from Squinters somewhere, in 3 BM build you'd be seeing Odin and Marduk both of whom aren't cav.

Hey Agamemnon. On a side note, thanks for all the info you drive on the site, comes in very handy.

Prabhu, again, as i said, yes, as a lower u can skip, and probably better to skip, we moved more onto the merits of using her, and quite frankly i don't see her as being that pricey, bearing in mind that i am not upping my normal techs past 137, oly bravery and inspire, so i get a ton of laur from arm farmin, even at 150, and will wash her double with laur, not gold.

Where you do make a very valid point, is in the renning, these can be brutal for even a high vip like me, never mind a low or non vip ( I have a low vip I am about to do 140 rens for, fml), in this instance, it is a really tough choice to make, because u are looking at weeks without heavy gold boosting her training to up her, so in that scenario, after a hell of a lot of thought, my choice would definitely be to not recruit her.

If I was a low vip and did however spring for the 6th training slot, that changes to i would definitely recruit her.

So essentially for me it comes down to the amount of training spaces for me haha.

Oh, as for odin, tbh, I am really not that impressed by him, maybe it is my intense hatred for C&B types, naturally I will recruit him, but lets be honest, with her damage output, she can significantly reduce his threat in a battle loooong before he decimates anything.

For training try this method.

View the 4 month window (patch to next 10 levels).

Try to carry 10 heroes;

Utility - Heimdall, Cronus, Hermes, Asc + Oeno / Jord / Isis
Essential - Eurotas, Anubis, Mist
================
8 or 9?

Now split your ren into two, main ren consists of 3 of your starting 5 + 2 more heroes (5 spaces). Back up ren contains last two of starting 5 + 3 utility types. So now your carrying a split ren cycle + starting 5 ren cycle (3 rens per window). You can slip in a boosted ren using heavy trans into this for anyone falling too far behind but this should work per 4 months for you.
@Agam, we'd need second bugler and MS hero as well. Without Oeno Enlil can be insanely tough to get past. And I think Mist will reach her expiry date pretty soon. TS Mage will be the only Mage worth carrying forward all the way IMO.

@Lyken, Odin has built-in defense for all damage types(average). C&B in the hands of an archer is insane and is a clear winner over Anubis. Also you hide Odin in the back row. Only non-BM I think of training up new would be the mech due to the ability to snipe hidden non-dodging non-blocking ones in both PVP and PVE alike.

Mist has been shown to be used in 180 version still, and quite effectively (not seen it myself, been told by a couple of peeps who know chinese version players etc) so not sure on that one, but I like her so will keep renning her as far as I can.

As for odin, yes I am well aware of his bonuses and his general awesomeness, nontheless my point was that I simply hate c&b heroes, it is personal preference, but as I said, will still recruit him nonetheless naturally, as he is a powerful tool for this stage in the game.

As for mech, innanna (think that spelling lol) is average at best atm, but from what we have heard, she gets incredibly buffed in 170 and 180 updates, to a point where she as good or even a touch better than odin, so her recruitment may be wise.

Regarding training, up to 120 or even 130 just, you can get away with a full 5 ren (if you have 5 slots) it is not too severe alternating your auto train daily (even a low vip should have lv4 aide)

but rens of 140, 150 etc, I will be single renning, get rens on one done to where I want pre req, lv to 110, then ren next and all ft to that one then. Otherwise I find it is actually much slower in the long run as you have laggers, and you waste training resource. Second reason is at these lev's you lose tons of lv's on buildings, a tg 3 dropping by 5 levels in a few attacks will make you cry, trust me, so you have to keep your strength up as much as possible, otherwise you have to stay out of the fight like I am having to atm s1, which really sucks, as I am missing out on a extra 10 to 20 coffers a day depending on how lucky I am lol.

Thanks for all the info guys, think this thread will help out quite a few players at the later stages.

Regards
Lyken
You dont need a 2nd bug - even if you do you can use a hidden bug like Eris in a backrow somewhere.

Notus / Morale Supp you may well need - indeed i neglected mine and am trying desperately to rectify it. Its not that bad as you dont need him until Hanging Gardens (even neglected will still remove morale just not do much dmg!)
