I wanted to know if using Kratos compared to Hermes will work against Odin, or the additional spirit hit points of Hermes over Kratos will be a deal breaker.

Can anyone who has seen Kratos in action against Odin, please reply??
GBH had lv 150 Kratos for Saga, the NPC before Odin: http://sols9.com/batheo/br/v.php?k=V8nC2u4Y
but used Hermes for Odin: http://sols9.com/batheo/br/v.php?k=V8nJCMMO

yeah thanks pluton kratos maxed wih max gear washes etc failed to get near winning hermes does had to train from lvl 1 have to do all rens etc wasted a few hours anyway
lol did u mean weeks or hours?

I hit a stop because hermes is not ready and I had to do the same thing train him all the way from lvl1.

If u did it in hours would like to know how Smile
Fortunately i knew, hermes is full ren. However, getting laurels to double wash has not happened at all, thanks to uber expensive new tech! So lend me 1.5mn laurels so i can get this 160 show on the road!
why you want to double wash hermes?

Does that improve his block.

Do we really need to double wash hermes??

Anyone to answer this? with all this discussion about +50 gemming, i wonder how a poor hermes with 70 base stat is ever going to be useful with a valor wash, let alone he would never be used for a valor hit.
The argument arises from getting him into the normal dmg range (hence once up and running = higher faculty = higher sustained dmg). Also can probably get him into +25 dmg range (-25% dmg taken).

In some BRs he gets hit before the hidden dancer can go off and protect him, others you need to consider failure of dancer for sustained farming of Odin.

Mr B is favouring this for Odin farming.
I see your thesis now.

Basically u want to have more faculty intact (by reducing incoming valor damage) incase, hermes is hit in round one, so he keeps doing consistent damage.

It might be a wrong observation, but what I have seen is if your mages on the wings do sufficient damage, such as hermes is able to kill the remaining in 20 rounds, the dancer seldom fails. So the success to beating Odin is dependent on the luck with the mages and how much are they able to reduce the bugler faculty. If the mages are able to do what they are supposed to do and take off a percentage of odin and buglers, dancer will not fail. Just an observation. Can be easily confirmed by someone already farming Odin, as just beating Odin cant confirm this.

This is pretty old, but I thought I'd update it for future readers.

Myself, and most everyone I know uses Hermes for Odin. Most, if not all use a double wash with spirit and valor. Training does NOT have to be max'd however... a lv150 trying to beat odin with a lv134 Hermes is not uncommon. It seems you need to be around 134 or above ren level though to have enough damage generated to kill the buglers.

The most efficient builds use a Thunderstorm Mage up top to stun and damage the first bugler, and a cyclone mage on the bottom (Boars Head slot 3) to inflict Deserting status on as many heros as possible (hopefully the buglers, which are the usual limitation with a low-trained or low-washed Rally hero.
The ability to kill off the buglers, especially the last one makes valor important. Without valor, you need a perfect run from the dancer to kill the last bugler. With valor washing, you can have dancer fails without issues if she's lasted long enough to get Hermes down to the last bugler. Its the difference between needing 14 dances in a row and 20 dances...
Wash for valor and use cyclone and thunderstorm mages. Smile
