dio was using G10-10 pegasus, +6010 I think.
aether was using a chimera, around +3800.
Both had around +100 spirit and valor wash.

2400 cloaks on both heroes.
It's hard to tell which one is better in general.
I used dio to tank some great valor hitters and mages, simply because he could regain a lot of health.
Aether is also great, but need better defensive gears to keep his faculty high (maintain his fire power). The successive BM is very strong when he has a great mount and good spirit wash (I proved that in rag map ). The dps is higher than dio when both have same mount, spirit wash and only 2 buglers to boost their morale. You could probably use a good healer instead of asteria to assist him.
Btw, aether is supposed to dodge regularly in a dodge formation, at least more often than dio. But that's not the case to my observation. Maybe skein/boar's head is more useful for aether.

I washed both valor and spirit of aether because I want him to serve as a tank first. But for dio, valor is less important because u need less valor defence IMO. Despite of that, I still double stat wash dio to save some dracs to enhance his armor-_-
