lol because i'm a glutton for punishment :p

but for the impatient, it does condense the game up to 150/160

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - TheJackal - 08-10-2012

Any additional info on the value of the higher color stones (Jades, I assume).
The purple is 360g to cut, but what is it's expected gem yield (same for green/yellow/red jade) ?

It is the actual "refinery" part provided in this update (since, as I mentioned above, any mined ores are directly converted gems and its a continuous system).

Stones can be found by workers ranging from white to purple (this is the part I am not clear on, the mechanism or probability of finding various colors). Depending on the level of your refine studio, you will have a shown success rate for cutting the stones. The costs of cutting are as follows:

white: 60k drachs

blue: 120k drachs

green: 100g

yellow: 160g

red: 240g

purple: 360g

those are the costs of cutting 1 stone. Each stone has a minimum and maximum possible return for successful cutting. But as with enhancing, a shown success rate of 92% will not truly be 92%. I assume 99.9999% of players will only be cutting white and blue so returns are:

white: 13 gems min, 32 gems max (estimated average 15 gems)

blue: 19 gems min, 68 gems max (estimated average 22 gems)

Average return closer to lower end due to fail rate.

For all the collected green, yellow, etc. stones, there is an auction system in which the stones can be sold to other players. This is a broken system that heavily favors high-level spenders in chinese version, but won't have impact on Batheo since there no high-level spenders in the game.

All Jades:

1rst is common Jade (white):

2nd is Greek Jade (blue):
[Image: 29c4b4p.png]

I haven't got the rest.

For the bidding system:
You spend a bunch of gems to get a jade, then spend a bunch of gold to cut it and hope you get enough gems to make it worth your while.

Update from what a player said:
the purple jades is only worth 30 gems undercut and 40 gems when listed for sell. It is NOT worth 850 gems. This is simply false advertising and a pipe dream. The purple jade required 360 gold to cut and then perhaps you may get your 850 gems, if it doesn't fail.

Saw 280 gems today for red gem.

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - Guest - 08-19-2012

have anyone tried the gold cut? does anyone has the average return of each color type?

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - Taibr - 08-22-2012

Minimum output of jades varies :

from 4 green Nordic Jades using only junior appraiser (100g to cut)
1st = 40-53
2nd = 53-78
3rd = 59-92
4th = 78-114

2 yellow Egyptian Jades using junior appraiser (160g to cut)
1st = 48-53
2nd = 120-133

this way you can decide to cut or sell. I have passed 1 of green to other person and stats are same after listing for sale, so beware before buying any especially from other faction guys. It's your decision if you spend 12 gems (green) and use 5g for appraiser and then list for sale (12 gems back if sold) or undersell (9 gems). Same will apply to other colours (I guess)

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - rob84 - 08-31-2012

I would have to disagree about the VIP level making a difference or not. A year ago I was in the level 100 area on my server before the merger. Another player was in the level 60 area. He decided to become a big spender and by luck after the revamp of the cumulative daily loss make you spend more went away, he magically became VIP10. At the time I was only VIP4 and after a short time he passed me and leveled to 110, 120, 130, 140 and now 150. He is so powerful that nobody on the server can beat him in PVP. I am just now able to level up to 140 having beat Elf a few days ago. So it does make a difference in the fact that he spends 15 times more than I do. While I was farming trans and waiting for training cd so that the hero could level up more, he would use gold to kill the cd and start the next round. It is a huge advantage on any of these online games in how much you spend.

It is a proven fact (argue with me if you want) that the biggest spenders if they are smart in how they spend the game currency can be the top players in the shortest time. I played a different game which I quit due to being outpaced by the biggest spenders on the server. Tried on a new server and was still outpaced within 4 days of the new server opening it was impossible to compete.

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - Squinters - 08-31-2012

sigh, the lack of perspective is appalling. i will reiterate one more time. there are 2 groups of players: low level spenders, and high level spenders. As far as i know, every player in batheo falls into the low level spender category. Maybe this screenshot will give you some perspective

[Image: 1549368hz578oooxenz7h5.jpg]

He reloads for more than that on a MONTHLY basis. His total gold consumption doesn't even fit on the screen lol (last number is cut off, that total is 189mil not 18.9mil). Maybe I'm the one that lacks perspective, but I'd venture to guess no player in batheo has spent 2mil gold TOTAL, much less on a habitual basis.

(side note, that screenshot was from months ago. rumors are that he's over 250mil now)

the gain is low relative to the gold spent to cut it... i guess it is only for super vip to cut anything above blue

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - Agamemnon_S13/4 - 09-06-2012

Right am at the stage now of how high do i go???

Refinery level 100 - much further?
Mines to 150 soonish
Foundry level 100
Smelter - 100 enough?

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - Squinters - 09-06-2012

gain from refinery minimal compared to gatherer bonus.

i use 15 gem rule for mines. if it costs more than 15 gems, it will take over 100 days per level to break even (unless you plan to play for the rest of your life and pass the account to future generations).

foundry is personal preference.

smelter kinda useless post-170 update when workers aren't used anymore for refines (i did 100 just because it's cheap and for short term benefit).

RE: In-Depth Look at Outer City - pinkydevil - 12-10-2012

And what about institute it works well? or it doesn´t worth the cost?
