A Poseidon Prestige Hero Guide - Vecspace - Pluton - 02-19-2012

I will give a rating for each heros (according to my own definition) out of 5 stars. I will highlight all the 5 stars hero in red for easily viewing.
The stats are in valor/ spirit/ elemental.
All mage deal elemental damage.
M2 Leucothea
Troop: Fire Sower
BM: Strike in Column
Stats: 80/72/45
Rating: A reasonable starter prestige hero. Troop type able to dodge and block making it valuable in defense. Damage is reasonable too with a good strike in column battle magic. However, i will choose hercules over her. 3/5 stars
M6 Thoosa
Troop: Bugler
Ability: Increases 34 morale to own BM troops and reduce 5 morale to all opposing BM troops.
Stats 63/17/82
Rating: A valuable hero of Poseidon as it is the earliest bugler among all 3 fraction. Likely to get before you reach Hecate and Eris. Allows Poseidon to switch to the cost efficient bomber build quickly and can last a long way in maps. 5/5 stars
M10 Amphitrite
Troops: Nymph Dancer
Ability: Increase 1 BM morale to 100 at random odds
Stats: 62/88/52
Rating: Best stats dancer with high faculty. Good meat shield and being an early prestige hero, its way better than Artermis giving Poseidon another edge over other fraction. 5/5 stars
M11 Syrinx
Troops: Cyclone Mage
Ability: Cause chaos within enemy troops. Chaos troop will lose 15% faculty every turn for 3 turns.
Stats: 42/17/90
Rating: A Cyclone Mage which Athena fraction doesn't have. Cyclone Mage prove to be useful in late maps when NPC have crazily high faculty. Can be a meat shield while dealing high damage without a book. 4/5 stars
M12 Galene
Troops: Sea Scorpion
BM: Soul Taking Arrow
Stats: 38/34/83
Rating: Despite scorpion having crits and dodge, its ultra low spirit make even Soul taking arrow weak. Low faculty hero. Totally not worth recruiting 1/5 stars
M13 Epimetheus
Troops: Furious Hydromancer
Ability: High damage with average hit rate
Stats: 53/18/91
Rating: Good early sniper mage. Reasonable element stats with good damage. However, to start on a mage build that early may be quite costly resulting in lagging behind other players. 4/5 stars
M14 Mintha
Troops: Lightning Arrow
BM: Angel Wings
Stats: 58/73/33
- Good Crits rate, with a good BM. Angel wings the only BM in the game that can hit up to 4 hero with high damage. However, angel wings can be weak against some formation (eg Padma) and make it not as good as SIL and SIC BM. 4/5 stars
M15 Pasamathe
Troops: Meteorite Mage
Ability: Hit all troops with average hit rate
Stats: 50/32/88
Rating: Earliest Meteo Mage among all 3 fraction. Can be a good asset for Mage build. However, being an AOE Mage, its damage is low and sniper may be preferred over Meteo Mage. 3/5 stars
M16 Aphrodite
Troops: Nymph Dancer
Ability: Increase 1 BM morale to 100 at random odds
Stats: 57/12/85
Rating: Dancer rumor to have the highest success rate. By the time you get to her, Amphitite may be well train and ren already. Not worth hiring her. 1/5 stars
M18 Doris
Troops: Golden Archer
BM: All Round Ambuscade
Stats: 47/90/31
Rating: Good troop type with block, dodge and high crits. BM able to stun enemy making it useful for defensive purpose and stunner build. However, BM do not produce very high damage. 3/5 stars
M19 Cocytus
Troops: Armored Chariot
Ability: High defense
Stats: 68/79/31
Rating: Extraordinary defense, however it deals very low damage. Good for a mech build who need a tank. 2/5 stars
M20 Lotis
Troops: Sea Longbow Archer
BM: Strike in Line
Stats: 63/88/29
Rating: Most fearsome Poseidon of mid game with a powerful SIL BM and high crits rate. Almost a must for a Poseidon BM build. 5/5 stars
M22 Calypso
Troops: Phantom Phalanx
BM: Morale Absorption
Stats: 73/69/47
Rating: Have a very situational BM but can be very useful in a few situation. High critical rate but low spirit stats make it not very useful. 2/5 stars
M23 Palaemon
Troops: Treefolk
BM: Sally Outburst
Stats: 73/85/32
Rating: Second Best sally Outburst hero. Continuous BM shows its usefulness in the late fight when it is the only hero standing. High crits rate making it useful. 4/5 stars
M24 Telcine
Troops: Sunstorm mage
Ability: May cause stuns to opposing troops at low odds
Stats: 66/30/94
Rating: Situational mage that doesn't need a book. Stuns is a very useful too in batheo. However, doesn't have high success rate. 3/5 stars
M25 Daphne
Troops: Flaming Calvary
BM: Pandora Curse
Stats: 67/87/38
Rating: As many Poseidon player will say it, its either Daphne or Lotis. Daphne is best pandora curse hero with a high dodge rate. With the stuns is provide, its a very useful BM. Unlike many claimed, it can be use even up to Skuld and Seigfield. 5/5 stars
M26 Halirrhothios
Troops: Griffin Rider
BM: Sneak Raid
Stats: 77/77/38
Rating: Troop with high dodge and good BM. Sneak raid can be useful in certain situation too especially when enemy is hiding their damage dealing troops behind. Coupled with stuns make it even more useful. However, its is only useful in some situation. 3/5 stars
M27 Peneus
Troops: Thunderstorm Mage
Ability: Very high damage causing stun at low odds
Stats: 74/28/97
- Thunderstorm mage whichever fraction, it is a valuable asset due to its stun and high damage. However, it usefulness is only shown in late map. Not needed to be recruit early. 5/5 stars
M28 Aelous
Troops: Phantom Scythe
BM: All Out Onslaught
Stats: 76/76/47
Ratings: By the time you get to M28, All out Onslaught should have been phrase out and there isn't a need of such a BM hero anymore. Without Zeus Blessing, damage will not be high. 1/5 stars
M30 Clytius
Troops: Burning Golden Bull
Ability: Hitting all enemy troops with valor damage
Stats: 73/73/65
Rating: Golden bull that hit all but only give morale to 1 enemy can be a useful mech. But generally its damage isn't good especially with low valor stats. Not worth recruiting. 1/5 stars
M31 Leuce
Troops: Snowfield Warrior
BM: Rally
Stats: 98/34/95
Rating: a very good rally hero with high valor stats making it a good tanks. However rally hero is usually situational and uses for cheap win. Can be recruited for Mnemo, Ra etc. 3/5 stars
M32 Oizys
Troops: Hammer Chariot
Ability: Very High single target valor damge.
Stats: 89/70/70
Rating: A very high damage sniper mech. But being block often without crits rate make it less efficient than Armored Trojan Horse. 2/5 stars
M33 Nereus
Troops: Hammer Phalanx
BM: Sacred Stardust
Stats: 89/93/47
Rating: Highest damage BM in the game, but being the lowest spirit among all the SS hero make Nereus damage unable to compared with Hemera. However, any SS hero is valuable in map progression. 4/5 stars
M34 Phorcys
Troops: Armored Trojan Horse
Ability: High single target valor damage with critical hit
Stats: 92/82/76
BM- Best ATH in the game. High crit rate making it the best sniper mech that uses only pure valor in the game. However, like all mech it can get block often. 4/5 stars
M35 Glaucus
Troops: Lightning Calvary
BM: Nocturnal Blitz
Stats: 79/102/77
Rating: Situational BM which may not be very useful since morale absorption works better. Despite its high dodge rate and high spirit stats. May not be very useful 2/5 stars
M36 Eurybia
Troops: Soul Hunter
BM: Morale Suppression
Stats: 77/110/32
Rating: 1 of the reason people think that Poseidon is overpowered. Best morale suppressor in the game making it useful for both PVP and map progression. Very high damage dealt with its exceptional crits rate. 5/5 stars
M37 Triton
Troops: Golden Calvary
BM: Crash and Burn
Stats: 93/114/29
Rating: Best crash and burn hero with crits, block and high dodge. Works well with Poet and Ascl. Able to hit crazy damage on turn one making it a very useful sniper. 5/5 stars
M38 Poseidon
Troops: God golden guard
BM: Total Defense
Stats: 99/67/83
Rating: Best total defense hero making it one of the best tank in the game. However being weak to elemental attack make total defense less useful and may not be worth a recruit. 3/5 stars
M39 Minos
Troops: Snowguard Archer
BM: Phantom Attack
Stats: 96/80/77
Rating: Phantom attack is unpredictable and is not a very good sniper BM. Its low spirit stats doesn't help much either. 1/5 stars
M40 Hephhaestus
Troops: Furious Pyromancers
Ability: Good Damage with high hit rate
Stats: 110/83/113
Rating: Best mage in the game with high stats making it a good tank and damage dealer. With high consistent hit rate, it bypass dodge and blocks making it very useful. 5/5 stars
Hopes this help in anyone trying to choose a Poseidon prestige hero. Any correction to my thread will be welcome too.
