EVEN if ur gear/enchant sux. SteveForge: You'll notice Elric kind of popped through Elf when only Mr.B had beaten him with a rediculously lucky win... he didn't have much to go on and ran Lochi. Katet then ran a Skein form we've all copied that's really successful: 1- puts Anubis 1-on-1 with the line-striker to both dodge and minimize damage to others if there is a hit 2- thunderstorm mage first-strikes on the moral supression hero in Elf's #1 spot... that saves Anubis and your other BM from damage and moral depression. 3- Mist to reach the back row and reduce the damage incoming... I'd assume Heph works just as well here, maybe better I just had Mist set up so I tried it with her. 4- a BM and bugler down low... I used Edjo to get a stun or two on the bugler, but if you don't have him Sult or Heimdall would work well. SteveForge: Fro those looking for help to beat Elf, here's an easy example of what is becoming THE Elf killer... 1- Most use Skein to limit incoming damage... AND prevent the strong Line Striker cavalry from nuking a whole wall in Gram/BH/Testudo... Skein formation keeps that damage to 1-on-1 AND reduces it. Inverted Wedge is another choice, but you lose first-strike abilities on the top BM user (see point 3). 2- A mobil hero vs the Line Striker is a must... this will be your main tank for the length of battle. Anubis is the best answer for most, though I imagine Hera or Edjo coudl be used. 3- Skein... like Lochi and Gram formations will give you 2 attackers to clear out the mobil Moral Suppression troops up top and that mage. Kill off that top row quickly while tanking vs the others. To get past the dodging of the front troops mages are very useful... Mist or Heph. A thunderstorm mage like Peneus or Asteria is becoming common as well... first-strike hits to stun the moral suppression hero and tanking the incoming pyromancer attack with a mage is very effective. 4- Elf, the bottom cavalry unit using a bugler meatshield is tough to reach initially... you need to take out that bugler ASAP. Edjo is probbly you best hero here. He can block Elf from gaining moral, stun the bugler (same effect), and his strong sniper BM will put out way more damage than Heimdall will. Heimdall is the next best hero just because he can deliver some damage to elf before he lights up BMs... but Heimdall can't dodge that BM once it fires. Using Heimdall is a matter of hoping a few more rounds before Total Defense kicks in is enough... because he won't be long for the world after that. Sult is also useful in this position... his BM is potent and will always land on the bugler while doing damage to Elf. Sult is very mobile as well and can dodge the Total Defense attacks if you're lucky (and you'll need the dodges because you're not stunning the buglar as Edjo could or blocking the valor attacks as Edjo/Heimdall can... so Elf will charge up quickly and start firing BMs). 5- in late stages of battle you hope your bottom BM hero has killed off the enemys bugler and your highly mobil center tank will come under fire from whats left of the center an bottom BM users. If you're lucky with thunderstorm stuns and the power of your other hitter mage up top (Mist or Heph), you're hoping that last mage is still alive and able to do un-dodgeable damage to the lower cavalry units while Anubis dodges and helps clear out whats left. So basically, dodge the BMs, block the valor, stun the bugler, and use mages to clear out the top row and protect your BM user from moral supression (expect you'll get hit with this BM at least once). So here you are: The Elf Formation RE: ELF Battles and tips - Prabhu - 04-30-2012 Suggestions, from what I observed personally: 1. Sult helps a bit early/mid through the map for reaching out to the hidden mages. Later on Sult won't be of much use vs yellow NPCs. However, Sult's presence in PvP is more prominent. I haven't tried Edjo, but she should be similar. 2. Anubis is a must-have, works very well with a solid-double wash. 3. Kylin can help, but no need to delay the progress due to this. Bear in mind, Kylins are the future of BMs though. 4. Thunderstorm mage plays a crucial role and can make things easier through some critical battles. This is a reason one can feel proud of being an Athenian as Asteria has solid base stats and faculty. Mist is a pretty good mage who makes life easier too. Cyclone mage, if available can work well. Asclepius if available, can be a lifesaver even with 0 book against one NPC with Meteorite mage. 5. Most would have trained up Heimdall already for Anubis battle. He would work as the tank even thru Nils. No need for any additional hero. 6. No need to waste time, divs and gems on yellow arms. Nils can be done with just Grade 0 arms. 7. About enchants - 2x Spirit sets, 1x Element set and 1x valor set are important and can be easily done. Second valor set and Element set are not critical. 8. Red books are more than enough for Nils(with Grade 0 arms ofc). 9. If you are a VIP who can access red horns already, save gold for a red horn or two which can be good investment for a quicker progression. If you are a non-VIP but don't intend to spend cash out of your pocket, try some offers. If you are non-VIP and don't intend to become a VIP by any means, I'd suggest forgetting about the mages altogether; start working on kylins and 3 BMs and gamble with divs. All of these can still get past Nils, which has been proven already. 10. Most common heroes to be used(so that one can plan ahead): Sult/Edjo/Skuld, Anubis, Cronus, another bugler, TS mage, Mist, Cyclone mage(not an option for Athenians), Heimdall and Asclepius. RE: ELF Battles and tips - Pluton - 05-01-2012 There are 14 Batheo Elf Battle reports now... Enough? RE: ELF Battles and tips - Guest - 05-05-2012 Disappointed more is not being made of dumping the bugler, watch my fight carefully, having the stun mage alive is HUGE help after the top row is clear, thats possible by the top row getting AE (which i didnt get but would have been 6k less dmg to do) - Also, when i get to elf i am not having to do 14k but only 8k to him - huge help and anubis in better shape from the middle dying faster. RE: ELF Battles and tips - Guest - 05-07-2012 I used a different formation on elf that might help others. As pointed out before me cyclone mage can make the difference Most people use a thunderstorm mage for elf, but as I did not train him, and was still training mist I had to think of something different. Cyclone mage did it for me, even as low as lvl 88. Lucky win, but I got it http://b5.clapalong.com/?fid=N20120508809987 RE: ELF Battles and tips - Centurio - 06-05-2012 elf http://s1.ath.de.koramgame.com/?fid=N201206059799722 zeus: mist anubis bugler bugler notos |
