Putting your gatherers to work - Zalera - 08-23-2012
Is there any benefit to splitting your gathers into multiple sessions or should you lump them into one group? I was told that there is an advantage to splitting but the person didn't elaborate. Let's see if a forum post can get him to take up his soapbox and share.

I was told groups of 8, increase the odds of the Jadeite, not exactly sure!

How do you use the refinery? Is it better to save gatherers to process rubbles? Seems like they give gems + ores

nice to do separate groups right now for processing purposes. Post-170 update workers will not be needed for refinery so changes that.
I'm not sure of impact on jadeite recovery, but it does create additional chances at negative/positive status from extracting.
Also from a gold-spending perspective, enhanced mining modes are paid per worker, so if a player didn't want all 42 workers mining at 250% (for 27g per worker lol), they could do a cheaper version and only have 10 workers on diamond mode.
