The lose of troops depends on your moral, cloak, and formation. Actually the lost of C&B is kind of calculated as BM damage, so a good cloak reduces your troop loss, but a BM booster formation (Boar's Head) increases the troop loss. Moral is kind of controversial, one hand, higher moral usually increase the defense and reduces troop loss, but the other hand, higher moral significiantly increases the troop lose of C&B BM just because of algorithm itself: the higher the moral, the more powerful the attack, yet more damage to your own troop. 50% is the cap of troop loss.
