Wrath of Gods, Low Level Run - dietonight - 12-20-2012

(For earlier legion battles in this map, see http://forum.clapalong.com/showthread.php?8410-Wrath-of-Gods-Low-Level-Run-by-dietonight)

Hesperides: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N2012122011489284
Eris: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N2012122011490424

Nice to see dietonight and DieSupport working together, but kind of disturbing just how hard this legion still was. Took around 10 tries. Weakness link was actually K4n6uru, despite being Lv 67, using 5 heroes and having most of the best pre-update gear maxed out apart from purple weapons. I'm guessing this is because he was only M41. I had to put him in Position 3, where he only needed to kill 2. It's remarkable just how little damage (enemy) Eris takes from purple equipment...

dietonight (Lv 59) had 5 purple weapons (3 Athena's Spears, 2 Thunderbolts), 5 red armors (3 Immortal Fames, 2 Hero's Prides), 1 Kylin + 1 Karkadann + 3 Chimeras, 5 Cloak of Runes, 1 Spartan Charms + 1 Achievements in Charming + 3 blue books, and 1 Greetings at the Doorsteps + 4 white horns, all maxed.

DieSupport (Lv 65) had Thunderbolt + Hero's Pride + Kylin + Zeus' Cloak + Greetings at the Doorsteps + Spartan Charms, all maxed.

Both were at M48.

Roaring Ocean down at Lv 60. First expedition progress on dietonight since Feb. 11. Tirst time using armaments in Wrath of Gods:

Sub-battles
Lv 99 Clymene: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130419304575
Lv 102 Ceto: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130419305558
Lv 105 Thalassa: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130419306612

Took only 2 tries. dietonight at M49, Lv 69 DieSupport at M49, Lv 69 Rendezvous at M47. Loss on first try was actually due to DieSupport, who had Dionysus positioned in worst possible place.

Perhaps the biggest surprise here is just how well Rendezvous held the line despite very imperfect gear and washes (less than halfway to max). One Laeveteinn at (G7)9 and another at (G7)7. 3 max red armors + 2 yellow armors that of course still need to be replaced. 1 red + 4 yellow cloaks, also a long way from max. No Kylin and a few Chimeras, the highest of which was (G6)6. Tons more potential here.

RE: Wrath of Gods, Low Level Run - dietonight - 04-23-2013

Domination in Turmoil down, still at Lv 60!!!

http://b23.clapalong.com/?bfid=N20130423559335

Sub-battles:
Lv 101 Adikia: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130423551642
Lv 104 Deimos: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130423552767
Lv 107 Ares: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130423553987

Much tougher battle that took maybe around 30 tries (although it didn't help that I still didn't bother to make sure prestige was maxed). dietonight at M49, DieSupport at M49, Rendezvous at M48. Rendezvous washes were only marginally better; but hero training was maxed and equipment was significantly better (but still plenty of room for improvement, two Laeveteinns at (G7)9 with a third at (G4)6, four red armors with one at only (G6)6).

Took a few trial shots at Gods of the Underworld which is, not surprisingly, even harder. Took quite a few tries just to be able to reach (and of course lose to) the boss.

Lv 102 Aporia: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130423797397
Lv 105 Charon: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130423798552
Lv 108 Thanatos: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N20130423799876

In that run, 5 of the 8 NPCs were beaten, with 2 of the survivors at little to no damage and 1 with moderate damage. Oh well, wasn't actually going for a win so soon... Just wanted to see how far I was away, and gauge Thanatos' raw power.

RE: Wrath of Gods, Low Level Run - dietonight - 06-07-2013

Gods of Underworld down at Lv 60.

http://b23.clapalong.com/?bfid=N201306075104854

Sub-battles:
Lv 101 Echidna: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N201306075095626
Lv 104 Apate: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N201306075096816
Lv 107 Hypnos: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N201306075098020

Well, that was most unexpected. Today is actually Winter in S23, which in the current version of Batheo means all these accounts are M49. Not only that, I accidentally forgot to change equipment on Rendezvous, so his Oneiroi (the hero in the center column) is actually naked! But when I took one shot out of curiosity, saw how close dietonight got and Rendezvous win outright, I decided to go all out. Once I slotted 5 heroes into DieSupport, it took I think only 2 turns.

Some very real improvements on dietonight and DieSupport though. dietonight now has 2 Zeus' Cloaks and 2 yellow horns. Those Zeus' Cloaks were a big help against Hypnos, whose morale was much harder to contain without Oneiroi. Biggest problem with him was actually Hypnos dodging Crius' Total Defense, and then firing a devastating Sacred Stardust. DieSupport, as you can see, "cheated" by using 5 heroes: Dionysus, Crius, Demeter and 2 buglers; but I can live with that because this is ultimately intended as a Lv 60 run through Wrath of Gods, not a Lv 60 + Lv 69 with one hero run. I apparently had little choice but to stick DieSupport against Thanatos because he was the only one with enough raw power in a single hero to reach the God of Death in good shape and knock him out. As for Rendezvous... He was supposed to have 5 red armors maxed and 5 Laeveteinns (4 maxed, one getting there). Very nice that he managed to prevail over 2 NPCs anyway, although it was extremely close at the end (only a bugler and Geras left, both of which were getting hit by a ballista every turn).

Only one Legion left: Master of Souls, and Hades' Ultimate Form.

Closest I came to beating Ultimate Hades today. Posting this here more for data analysis than actual showing...

RE: Wrath of Gods, Low Level Run - dietonight - 06-13-2013

Master of Souls, Ultimate Hades, Wrath of Gods... Finished at Lv 60:

http://b23.clapalong.com/?bfid=N201306132779339

Lv 103 Alastor: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N201306132773396
Lv 106 Makaria: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N201306132774454
Lv 109 Hades: http://b23.clapalong.com/?fid=N201306132775754

A very challenging end to the map. Alastor isn't so tough, but Makaria is much stronger and has some very damaging crits. As you can see, Aether survived with only 282 faculty to spare; I could not have beaten Hades without him being there to kill off the military band before a few turns earlier than would be possible otherwise. As for Hades himself... Tons and tons of luck getting Rally up at the right time (getting Rally up at all was rare already, considering Athena needs 4 valor hits and then survival to the next turn just to fire), Crius getting into Total Defense mode before it's too late and Asclepius not being a total failure. DieSupport's and Rendezvous' fights weren't exactly pushovers either, but nothing compared to the horror of dietonight's battles. For Rendezvous, there was a bit of improvement on washes, 5x perfect weapons and washes, and I was in the process of replacing yellow cloaks with reds one by one. For DieSupport, I had to get quite a bit more serious with 5 heroes; I had Dionysus, Hemera, Eris, Crius and Lachesis in Testudo with high red armors and purple weapons on Dionysus, Hemera and Crius, with another red armor on Eris in the process of enhancing; and the win rate was still well short of 100% because Persephone was just that strong. Of course, all three accounts were at M50.

About 30 divs in I got a win over Ultimate Hades, but unfortunately it didn't count because Rendezvous lost. After a bunch of loses following the initial win, in desperation I maxed out a (G1)1 Violet Gold Kasaya I had sitting in my chest to give to Hemera (later replaced with Aether), at the cost of a bit of my drach stockpile. It then took around another 120, 130 or so divs to get another win, this time for good.

Kind of disappointed by the map reward, a Hades' Sword. I guess it fits with Hades being the boss; but I would have preferred something more useful like an Ares Armor. Oh well...

Completion time: 427 days (been working on it since it was released in the Lv 150 update).
