I've quit Batheo a while ago. Lately, I'v been looking for some games similar to Batheo(I really like the formation and battle animation, along with the mechanics). What I've found so far are either with poor UI or with unplayable levels of crashes. Ex:
Gaul Wars
Chaos of Three Kingdoms
Time Travel Heroes
Dynasty Saga(I had high hopes for this one, but seems like they have a slightly different game with crappy UI).

If there is a good game to play on iOS, I'd love to try..

Thanks!

Grepolis is a browser-based city building MMO game that is strictly PvP.

I used to play it and was the number 9 player on server 1 and number 4 player in my ocean on server 3, but then i got absolutely destroyed by 5 different players and lost all my cities and was forced to quit the game

BUT if you manage to be able to build up your defenses and join a good alliance than the game is ridiculously, I quit Batheo to focus solely on it as it does take up a HUGE amount of time to individually go and check on 150 cities, but the I got killed off and went back to Batheo, kind of glad for that, I like Batheo better.

If you want to check it out the link is just http://grepolis.com
HOWEVER, DO NOT CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS THERE, unlike ClapAlong, they actually crack down very hard on MA's.
Also It won MMO of the year for 2012 and 2011 (I'm not 100% positive for '11 but I know it was nominated), also Unlike ClapAlong, InnoGames (the company that run Grepolis) has regular sessions in their forums on what changes the players would like to see in the game and they are very good about implementing them in a timely fashion.

If you do start playing the game though, give it some time, just like Batheo the beginning can be a tad boring.
Lv 48. A new addition of Lv 10 Mine allows you to raise your taxes.

Training center
Training center is where you train and upgrade your Generals to enhance their efficiency. Upgrade your Mine so you can receive more USD taxes.

To evolve Attributes, it requires amount of Tokens 4 times to 8 times of Headquarters level.

Evolve Price Range
Enhanced: 2 Gold
Advanced: 5-20 Gold
Supreme: 50-100 Gold

Remember to set Array as default for it to apply. You are free to use Leap to upgrade Generals by consuming Credits by whatever method of training.

Academy
Academy, available upon Headquarters at Lv 11, decides the highest level of your Technology and presents new technologies for use for every 5 upgrades.

ALv 10 Command allows Array to upgrade to Lv 2 and up to 3 Generals in battlefield.
ALv 25 Command allows Array to upgrade to Lv 5 and up to 4 Generals in battlefield.
ALv 50 Command allows Array to upgrade to Lv 10 and up to 5 Generals in battlefield.

Armory
Armory enables you to upgrade the equipment you purchased. It's easier to upgrade Armory when your Headquarters is below level 10. Lv 30 Headquarters presents an option called Procure in Armory, an efficient way to obtain high quality Vehicles and Robes. There is even a possibility an Agent may appear to offer service to procure for you.

The level of procured items does not relate to the level of Armory but rather that of the Agent.

You need to upgrade Armory and become a VIP in order to have more choices on what items are available in Shop

Market
Market is presented by Lv 12 Headquarters. Its level determines the amount of Electricity you can trade off. (Daily auto-refresh)

Upgrade the Market to lift its transaction cap. Electricity at the black market, twice its normal price, serves well in case of contingency.

Mine Refinery
A high-level Mine Refinery allows you to tax at higher rate!
You are allowed to own up to 10 Mine Refineries. Keep a healthy balance between levels of Headquarters and Mine Refineries to sustain stable tax income and short construction time.

Barracks
Barracks, made available by Lv 15 Headquarters, decide the maximum number of troops you can have. Barracks raises your Militia quota for every hour. If you are a high level player, you will have to consume more Electricity for recruiting Militia.

Stock Exchange
Stock Exchange is reserved for player above level 41. Submit Stock transactions through Stock Exchange and upgrade it to refresh application list. Receiving Stock yields relatively smaller profit.
Fund Trust
Level of Fund Trust decides the profits received from each dispatched troop and from the Stock market.

Loark, which is known as 倾城in China, was originally launched for Asian Market.

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 28, 2011
/PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Power Hosts Technology Ltd and Power Hosts LLC
(ClapAlong.com) announce today that they have purchased the exclusive
publishing rights of Loark for the US market at 19.86 million Chinese
yuan (equal to 3.13 million USD).

According
to ClapAlong, Loark is a thin-Java-client web-based action RPG, developed
by Handseeing...

Loark is a cooperative action RPG. It's a mash between Diablo
and tower defense (one of the most popular genres in recent years).
Loark is also a free massive multiplayer online game featuring three
character species (factions) with thousands of concurrently online
players interacting with one another. The game is built entirely based
on Java with proprietary platform technology and Handseeing's own JGNet.
JGNet is the research project founded since 2009 in partnership with
Sun Microsystems (now Oracle Labs).

Loark's
alpha release date is set at Christmas this year. ClapAlong is
expressing great enthusiasm as the release draws near. As their Product
Manager Candy Zhang puts it, "Loark is going to make a lot of gamers leap for joy and it's going to be the highlight of my career!"

About ClapAlong's Companies

Power
Hosts Technology Ltd and Power Hosts LLC are a global group of
web-based game operators, distributors and publishers with coverage in
the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Germany. It has launched dozens of game servers based on strategy and action RPG web-based game titles, such as Batheo.

About Handseeing

Handseeing
is a full-fledged game development studio with end-to-end capability.
Working solely on Java with its own proprietary platform technology
JGNet, Handseeing has been creating games, such as Loark, that offer the
most awing graphical experience in the competitive Java-based game
industry, participated by other world-class MMO developers, such as
Jagex Games Studio.

* Note: The logo of Torchlight is owned by Runic Game, Diablo2 owned by BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT and Java logo owned by Oracle.

---

Frankly, Loark is just a 2D grinding MMO (hack and slash) that combines a Chinese Unique theory of yin-yang and five elements (metal, wood, water, fire and earth). You will have to click monsters for long boring hours to level up once... not to mention that VIP status cost money every HOUR and the more you play, the more expensive the game costs.

If you're going to pay for a game, you're better off playing Diablo 3 (much better hack and slash game), or Crystal Saga (more players, less bugs) or any other game that doesn't belong to ClapAlong.

According
to ClapAlong, Loark is a thin-Java-client web-based action RPG, developed
by Handseeing...

Manager Candy Zhang puts it, "Loark is going to make a lot of gamers leap for joy and it's going to be the highlight of my career!"
industry, participated by other world-class MMO developers, such as
Jagex Games Studio.
