You could show good/bad/funny strategy, battle reports that include Sult.
What are the heroes/formation/combo that work best with and/or against Sult?

zeus is the only faction that may choose to not recruit sult, since zeus+hera is so overpowered at mid-game that there's no real benefit from sult for maps.

Thrudd is supposed to be better and sult the 2nd best after annubis.

Does annubis just need a mount ?

mechs suck in batheo. thrud is good for a select few npcs, but isn't needed to pass them. if u have too much laurels or gold go ahead, or else she ain't worth the trouble. no where close to being as useful as sult.

annubis is the single most overpowered hero in batheo, even after 140 maps n 150 maps, but he doesnt replace sult, they can be used consecutively.

and all map recruitable continous BM heroes tart and above require mount+weap. lost temple and above, almost all recruitable heroes need mount+weap, EVEN mechs n mages eg nut, isis.

How abt Skuld?

In all Chinese BRs I have seen(not too many ofc), I see Sult, Anubis, Skuld(think so), Mist, Cronus, Hept & Asteria (or some other Thunderstorm Mage).

So, isn't it boring to see a copy-cat formation played by all factions
Are the wins only decided by cav's dodge and mages' fail rate?

Need your thoughts..

Skuld is not Calvalry, he cannot dodge deadly BMs nor defend against mages. His damage isn't great either.

Yes, end game heroes choice is very narrow. And wins are decided by luck (mostly), but also gears (=money+time+luck) , and again luck (placing heroes luck and who gets to attack first).

skuld is used for maps to tank mages later on (especially for those who don't have at least 1 mage). he's hardly used in pvp because his damage is subpar, he can't dodge, and u have to gamble to get him to face a mage opponent. not to mention if u want to utilise his full potential.. he's a triple wash hero.

as for the chinese BRs, lv 120-140 usually comprises of what u've mentioned, basically 2 BM 2 mage 1 bugler, especially for pois/athena. zeus starts losing out at this point because of their lack of a good mage. hero lineup for lv 140-160 era changes again.. but that's so far ahead i won't go into that =/

and yes it's boring, but that's how it is if u want to be competitive. for the 120-140 era it IS all about dodging and the mages hitting/stunning. basically once u're at that point everything boils down to gear and enchants.

True, I remember reading that somewhere before(I guess a post by Orochi~). Not sure why they gave her a cav look, although it would have been quite obvious in the troop type shown in AB/FB

Even if the "double" damage(at times) isn't good enough, I think I shudn't consider her even in the long run.

Without a purple book, my choices get narrowed down to either 3 BMs, Asteria(red book) & bugler or 2 BMs, Asteria & 2 buglers

Can anyone answer whether the lack of Sult in the L140 BRs is due to gemming or ??

I personally think its cause the players cant hit +50 to get 50% more damage, if i am right brillant for me cause i will hit +50, if not i am in trouble as mist is but a baby!!

For lv 140 maps, Sult is mostly used as a meatshield, and dodger.
