So far its clear we are taking a new hero; Odin we thought but now i am hearing that nanna might be the better hero to take?

Can we get some clarification.

If there is any doubt i am keen to avoid using a 2nd kylin if i can. I already have a 3rd purple book worked up (just needs gemming) and already have a 3rd valor set (weapon working up would be relatively easy)

Odin for me would represent a long lead time in getting a ZC + kylin - then gemming an entirely new spirit set (as i would have to bin my old red horse and cloak). Other options would probably be easier

since you're in the upper echelon of progression odin is the better choice. nanna will get repeatedly buffed over the course of the next few updates, but that is more worthwhile for players who start late on servers or have delayed progression to get to that point.

for your purposes odin is a pretty essential recruit due to damage potential.

Is Nanna also BM + Valor? Or is any of them good using valor and ele?

i've seen in lvl170-180 updates Nanna gets buffed, so are those updates the ones you meant? or is she getting even more buffed later?

Since they are pushing the 170 and 180 updates together does this change the thinking at all?

For full out power, I'm pretty sure Odin will out-punch Nanna even with the updates.

Nanna's big help is getting a strong hit on rear row enemies. This is something you just can't do with other heros except for Inanna (if you prefer mechs). Nanna's Lunar Eclipse BM can cripple hybrid builds who hide a mage behind Cavalry like Anubis and Oeno.

Seeing how strong the new maps are, I'd guess that Odin is still a better choice than Nanna for the maps, though Nanna could be one of those game-changing heros in the future (both in altering PvP strategy, as well as clearing NPCs that just may not be beatable without that back-row ability).

I'd also point out, that the chinese BR's we have access to here seem to show a lot of Anubis, Marduk, Heph, and cronus... like a LOT of them. Odin is used a fair bit too... but I dont' see any with Nanna.

I imagine this may be an issue with Odin being adopted earlier on by more players... Nanna may in fact be better, but it may end up like the Sult vs Edjo debate... Sult unlocks sooner, so more people start training him... and as a result more BRs use Sult instead of Edjo.

I'd like to see a seriously bad @ss Nanna in PvP, or even vs some map heros... but I don't know if I can bite the bullet and dedicate all that training and washing to a "potential" hero vs a known one.

We'll see how it plays out.

Well hopefully I can give some input on Nanna. I am training him now, next ren is level 96. My mains are renning now though, but as soon as they are done Nanna will get the fast tracks. Washing on the other hand is going to take some time for me. I will keep you posted.

The Nanna heros I've seen aren't washed up yet in PvP... though a few are trained to 160 and using decent gear. So far, it seems Nanna at full strength hits about as strong as a 50% faulty anubis max'd out... maybe harder than that.

Just need to wait and see.

Definitely more potent than Oeno or other continous BMs currently available (other than maybe Odin or Anubis). I still hear complaints from Odin users, so I'm leaning heavy towards Nanna right now.

I think the real question should be: Nanna or Inanna?

Inanna's chance to stun is a big advantage, as is the always-fires ability a mech has. With Marduk coming out in PvP soon, Inanna will definitely get in more big shots than a BM hero will... which can be a huge win if its wiping out a back row mage, or stunning him.

dodges are nice, but stuns are better (IMO).
