I only play Athanaton (German version of Batheo), but anyways, code is similar.
I have seen a Maia with over 500 morale (Daphne + Telchinen combo was very lucky), then the Poseidonian got wiped out in 1 turn ^^, so the Poseidonian was not this lucky, a normal attack from this maia with 200 morale would not have been able to do this.
So im pretty sure, there is NO cap, but of course you never reach over 202 Morale under normal circumstances.
There need to be some stuns ... in every round on the gambithero^^
