Does anyone have Anti-Mage strategy for Isis and Hepaestus. I am sure there are some strategies out there [specifically for Zuesians], but they do not appear in forums. Please post your strategies and Battle Reports.
Here are the very very detailed notes on the New map
Move into the new map
From the date of first baselieus (now changed to Spring 204), players 101+ may move into new map.
Vip 3+ move in at will. Vip0-2 must apply.
vip 3,4 may approve 1 player, vip 5,6,7 may approve 2, vip 8,9,10 may approve 3
City Defense and PvP Divinities
Very pvp will result in 12 city defense to be shared between attacker and defender, depending on outcome.
Winner lose little and Loser lose more.
Complete victory will have loser receiving all loses.
Player will be sent back to base when city def reach 0.
Play cannot move out from base unless they have over 100 city defense.
1. Pvp now only consume PvP divs.
2. Players may change pvp divs for cities defense at ratio 1:20, can only do so in base.
3. Pvp token may be used to decrease movement CD, at ratio 1 token per 1 hour CD.
Areas
New map will have 34 areas laid out in a roughly square grid. Players may pvp in only adjacent grids (not diagonal). After all opposing players are removed from an area, new players may move in and conqure that area. The winning battle resulting in the removed of last enemy player will automatically move the winner.
Each movement to adjacent city result in 20h CD.
Other than 3x base areas for each faction, areas are divided into 4 types
1. Attack area: city defense destruction +1 for each pvp
2. Defense area: city defense protection +1
3. Movement area: movement CD 10h moving into the city
4. Nutural area: cannot be conqured. Any faction may move in.
Each basileus refresh will also randomized the city types.
Faction Quests
Each year, Basileus may use Offense/Defense Faction Tokens on any owned cities. The city with these tokens will receive attack and defense bonus.
Basileus may also declared an enemy city as attack target, successfully taking the target city will grant all faction players treasure chests.
Similarily, the opposing faction will receive a defense target in the said city, if they successfully defend the target area for the year (must not lose it at anytime in the entire year duration) there will be treasure chest rewards.
Personal Tokens
4 types of tokens:
Destruction, Construction, Movement, Buff
movement token remove movement CD as a percentage
buff tokens last 24h, similar grade of buff token stack in duration
Each time a player is send back to base, the personal tokens refresh (to a maximum of twice a day)
Treasure Chests
each day at 10:00, each play will receive a basic amount of treasure chests.
Amount is improved by pvping, # of faction cities owned, server gold purchase activity, faction quests, and nobility.
Other
In the new area, there will be no farms, no colonies, and no investing.
Translated by Third. This versioin brings tons of new features. Most are very nice.
1. 4 new maps:
1x regular level 150 map (like all current maps consisting of npcs), beating one of the very early npcs (before the 1st recruitable) grants access to lvl 150.
3x legions maps consisting of legions (can be done by 3x player at a time).
2 for low levels (80x and 100x if i remember corretly) that grant one time drachmas and full red equipment.
1 level 150 legion map, extremely hard that yield one time gems. (probably wont be beat until we have level 160s)
2. 3 new recruitables in 150 regular map:
1st is a mage (valor+ele, similar to Isis, but with increased damage towards cavalry)
2st is a mech (valor+spirit, strike-in-column)
boss is an archer (valor+spirit, continuous crash-n-burn, finally someone to compete in damage with anubis)
3. New world:
lvl 101+ players may choose to relocate to a new world map that's stand alone to the current one.
Can only move in, can't move out to old map if u don't like it there.
vip3+ players may move in at will, vip0-vip2 plays must apply and have vip3+ player's approval to move in.
vip3 player can approve once in a lifetime, higher vips can approve more, to a maximum of 3.
New map have 34 cities, laid out in a grid, each with permanent 100k prosperity, 120-150% area price.
(it's pretty much like a massive and perpetual SMW)
3.1 New Divinities
Divs are separeted into normal divs and pvp divs. Normal divs are used to pve and pvp divs used to pvp
3.2 City Defense
Add new building Wall that increase City Defense upper limit. (similar to faculty's function in SMW, 0 City Defense will result have you kicked back to base city)
City Def is gained by traded pvp divs at ratio 1:20.
Pvp will have 12 city def loss shared between attacker and defender, depending on outcome.
3.3 Tokens
New map have tokens that can be refreshed using gold (or refresh each day). Each type of token have 3 grades.
(I believe there are 5 tokens in 150 version? )
Destruction token - remove enemy city defense
Construction token - adds city defense
Movement token - lowers movement CD
Buff token - increase atk/def (just like inspiration, does not work outside pvp) (totally broken sh*t!!!)
Nvm, there are actually only 4 tokens
3.4 Treasure Chests
The first 5 pvp each day yield treasure chests (like the ones from levy event). Extra pvps will have chance to yield treasure chests.
3.5 Warehouse
New building warehouse, it's like a stock market where u trade various materials with the system. Buy low sell high to make drachs.
3.6 Weak Faction buffs (cities does not count base city)
cities owned/atk.def.bonus
0-2/50%
3-4/20%
5-6/10%
4. Changes to enhancing
PGs are fixed between 95%-100% and change once every day.
Players may select Nobilities (Basileus/Ephor/Elder/Noble) to decrease enhancement cost, may use each nobility once per day. (I believe it's 5/4/3/2% decrease)
Enhance CD removed.
5. Elite and Legion quota are removed, may farm them indefinitely.
every day 20:00-23:00 legions yield 20% extra laurels
Red equipments(not armaments) drop rate is increased. (all others stay same)
6. Refine Changes:
Can no longer form groups, each person gets a list of 10 random people from same faction, and pick 2 of those 10 people to refine with. (you no longer get drach/exp if it's not your refine) (say A picks C and B to refine, only A gets anything out of it)
List is randomized after every refine.
The highest level refine avaliable will the the highst out of yourself and the 2 person u pick to ref with. (say A(lvl 20), picks B(lvl 10) and C(lvl 50) to refine, A may use lvl 50 refines)
(Totally ****s over high lvl players, but better for low lvl i guess )
7. Trader changes:
Players now get traders from System instead of each other. Number of trades each day is increased from 4 to 12. Each time system gives out 3 random traders and you may pick 1 to add to trader list, and system randomize after each time.
Gaining specific(unknown and random) trader combination will trigger event to yield high level of drachs/gems.
there are grade 1, 2, and 3 events. The first one to trigger each event will be rewarded with an extreme large sum of drachs/gems and the event will be announced in world chat.
8. Wash attribute saves:
the best washes may be saved for free and can be restored to previous saves at any time.
9. New city icons:
New city icons (upper left and area view) are available to vip players, free of charge
10. Changed to Armaments:
increased success rate to all arm upgrades (pretty much not noticeable )
decreased gems cost to arm upgrades (by about 5 gems?!?!? )
Something new, let's call it an Fortitude Gauge is introduced, each time you fail an arm upgrade, Fort Gauge goes up and increase the base stat by a few points. (e.g. Upgrade failed, fort gauge increased, valour hit 300->301)
Basically it's made to make u feel better (or worse )
After reaching a (unknown, never official annouced) limit on fort gauge, the next upgrade is guaranteed to succeed. (Trust me, u don't want to go there, what ever the limit is, people have fails 200+ times to get g6 arms)
All upgraded arms previous to update will gain some forte gauge as compensation.
11. Dungeon changes:
Fimbul Winter, KoD, HoS will have have move chests for reward. ( i believe it's gonna be 14 in FW, 16 KoD, 18 HoS? not positive on that)
Increased laurels gain from chests (basicly currently 500 laurels will equate to about 2k laurels, slightly better)
12. Commission changes:
High tier merchants have better chance to appear.
Items chances unchanged
13. Training changes:
New aide function to auto renaissance.
Decreased training and trainer costs.
14. Increased Sult, Anubis, Nut, and the 2 recruitable in Olympia's drop rate.
15. Valk legions decrease to 8 npcs, Chilly mountain and Lost temple legions decreased to 6 npcs.
1. (Get enough laurels(say 200 - 300k) before you attempt.) Wash with first 10k and see if the stats move up. Otherwise, try later*.
2. If you wash for valor+spirit, completely ignore element stat. Just make sure the sum of valor+spirit(new values) is better than old values.
3. Also, try to keep the gap between valor and spirit as minimal as possible. Out of my experience, a gap of 12 or less seems to be good.
4. If you have a lot of laurels at your disposal and you need comfort, go for auto-wash. If you can undergo the process of mass-clicks, do it manually.
These are just the tips that were passed down to me. It worked for me. Good luck!
* 'Later' can be any time interval, let's just say you need a bit of self-control and you should know when to push hard with the washes and when to step back and stop. Since it involves 'random' factor as with several other stuff, there isn't a hard-set rule for it. However, at a high level, we can have some guidance. So, after abt 10-15k laurels, if the new stats don't even come closer(to existing stats) or get higher, it's kinda bad time for it and a lot of laurels can go waste. So, it's better to stop there. When you try later, you might get stats jump up by +10/+10 or so within the first 10k laurels, which can be a good time to push through.
More than any skill or strategy, you just need good luck with it, cuz you can get a decent double wash with just 200k laurels or it might even consume 1m laurels for the same. Just develop the self-control to stop when you see the washes aren't going anywhere and you are just burning laurels
Nobility affect FOR more, Wanted List makes players attack Nobility.
Investing gives little FOR, but increase your hostility (making you a nice target)
Attacking high hostility players gives more FOR, more Prestige.
Political Center:
Importance:Best avoided
Update: Losing a battle in this city will cause your faction to lose FOR in all their other cities. You should look at these cities as the "very dangerous" places. Basileus can mark players in this city as SPY to avoid FOR loss.
Economic Center:
Importance: High Importance
"Investment in this area can double Faction Occupation Rate". This is one of the easier cities to defend and you get High Levies, High Prosperity.
Cultural Center:
Importance: Low Importance This is the new safe heaven. (you cannot refine in this city when it doesn't belong to your faction).
Nobility that are not the strongest player must sit in this city to avoid huge FOR loss. when getting farmed.
"Gamers of different Factions can relocate to this Area". No matter which Faction is in control, you can move over to this city whenever you want.
Trade Center:
Importance: Low importance Update decreased the investing impact on FOR. Difficult and very expensive to defend. Not worth as much as before. You are better off using Military Center to attack.
Attack players in these cities to drop their FOR easily and if they want to keep it, you make them invest and waste 180k Drachmas daily on several accounts, which in turn increase their Hostility and their FOR loss when defeated. Very good place to farm lots of (~weak) archenemies.
It's a vicious circle that will make you spend more defending this city and you won't have much opportunity to invest in other cities... (Ignore above If your faction can handle this)
"Gamers of this Area can invest in other Lv 100 Areas". This city allows you to attack every single city on the map through investing. Even in Winter this city can invest in cities of other factions, to gain little Faction Occupation.
Military Center:
Importance: Very important Update increased FOR damage done by Nobility.
(Basileus in Military center winning over purple Basileus can gain up to 9-12%FOR)
If you are not the strongest players and get farmed easily, sit in Cultural Center.
"Attacking players from this area will double the Faction Occupation Rate". This means whenever you are located in this city, all your attacks will count as 1-12% faction occupation. Generally you want the strongest players of the faction in this city. They can easily occupy a city in a day or two depending on how many players are in this city.
Investing Update decreased the investing impact on FOR.
(now reduced to 0.5% I think, also depends on current FOR)
Investing gives you Faction occupation in the city you are currently located in (with trade centers as exception). Every 10 Prosperity investment gives 1% faction occupation rate. A gamer can invest 3 times a day. the cost of 10 prosperity starts at 16,000 drachmas, and will go up whenever the prosperity moves up. However more Prosperity also gives more drachmas whenever you levy.
Investing also gives a gamer Prestige. the formula for this is:
Level of gamer x 2 x Prosperity = Amount of Prestige
lets say you are level 40, and you choose the option of 10 prosperity: 40 x 2 x 10 = 800 prestige.

With Improved Information by Pluton, Vecspace
Before I begin this guide I would like to say that this is not the only way to be level 140 as an Athenian. I may only be in the faction maps, but I have seen tons of BRs, gotten advice from tons of players and this is the result. This is just for those players like me who were mis-led.
House of Hades:
The ideal level to complete this map would be level 87. Ignore the fact you will be beaten up by other, 2nd TG and refine is far more important. (Vecspace) For Athenians, one of the ways to clear HoH is with Syrinx,Artemis and 3 buglers, Hecate,Lachesis and Eris. The other way to do it is with Syrinx and the 3 buglers but Dio instead of Artemis. This is way requires probably, one extra 2.5k+ mount and more training for Dio, but you can pass with much less armour. Sponde is also good. Pallas/Oneiroi are good for select NPCs.
The faction maps:
Any mixture of Hecate,Lachesis,Eris,Dio,Syrinx,Sponde and Artemis will get you through HoH easily, maybe even with just one mount, if it's above 3.5k.
The faction maps are harder, one G10-7 red mount (if using 1 BM) should get you through.
By now you should have Prestige Attack/Defense bonus.
Tartarus:
By the time you reach Tartarus then you should have at least one G10-7 Chim, 2 is better. By then you should definitely be at M40 or higher. Your armours should be a mixture of red and yellow, (you need less if you have two chims. Level 97 is good for completing Tartarus because you get max laurels from TL2, but you'll need to be at least level 100 to beat Sult, unless you want to camp for Ares Armour's.) Sponde will have outlived her usefulness by Tartarus and you will should be considering a new attacking hero. Dancers aren't very useful beyond level 110 maps, so with Dio,Syrinx and 3 buglers, you should have room for 3 more heroes. Aether is good, and with him and Asclepius or Asteria, you can pass Ragnarok with one Chim and a book. If you are VIP then you would benefit from training Asteria and or Asclepius. If you are not then you should get Aether. Aether can replace Dio or Syrinx. Even if you are VIP, Aether is very good, but is not needed until LT. The Oneiroi is also a must. unless you have Crius.
(I suggest you jump to lv 110 since you get 3rd Training Ground. You should already have stocked enough laurels for main techs when you beat Cronus.)
(Farm themis and TL2 for purple armour)
Ragnarok:
By the time you are level 110, you should have beaten Heimdall and have two max red mounts. Your armour should nearly all be red, (you can skip red) and you should be thinking about getting your first purple armour. You should have 4 of the following 7 heroes: Asteria,Asclepius,Syrinx,Dio,Aether,The Oneiroi,Crius. MF IV is one of the really hard NPCs in Ragnarok. There are several ways to beat it:
Stun and Run:
Skein formation with Dio and Eris/Lachesis in the top and Eris/Lachesis in the middle. Asteria will be in front of Syrinx in the bottom to stun the second meteorite mage. By the time Asteria dies, Syrinx should have taken out the Burning Golden Bulls and the meteorite mages. Dio can tank the Phantom Scythe Soldiers and Snowguard Archers will Syrinx wipes them out from the bottom.
The Hemera method:
If you are prepared to gamble with divs then you can use 3 buglers, Hemera, and Dio. Same as the one above except that instead of Asteria and Syrinx, it is Hemera, with Cronus/Hecate behind. Ideally, worst bugler should be in the middle. Hemera can take out the bulls and bottom mage, and if you get it right, emerges victorious with less than 1000 troops left. Dio will have beaten the top mage and while he is dying, Hemera can destroy the two B.M. units.
I would put more but I've decided to leave it open for suggestion. If you don't have Dio by the time you beat Rhea in Tartarus then it might be worth training her. You should have a red weapon or purple weapon by now anyway. It's either Crius,Dio or Rhea. Hel is bad, full stop, and you won't need Heimdall until LT. With a well placed Oneiroi, two Chims, a second B.M. hero and some red armours, Sult shouldn't be too hard.
(Farm Forseti for 1-2 Mjollnir)
Beyond the Desert:
This is the map where you should think about dropping Dio and Syrinx for Hemera and Aether. Sult is very good, and you should definitely train him. You might not have recruited him and trained and washed him before you beat Edjo so you will have to make do with prestige heroes. You will need one Ares Armour at least, the more the merrier. You can pass with yellow cloaks, if you have Oneiroi up to about 250 spirit, but even so you should start commisioning reds. You will also need a valor washed Cronus. For this map, you can have Asteria to stun the buglers or healers, Dio and or Syrinx, The Oneiroi, and maybe Hemera. I don't have much to say about this map apart from the fact that Dio and Syrinx should be dumped after you beat Edjo. Syrinx can be kept for enemies like Thrud but that is not recommended.
(Farm Selket and Legion to finish off 5 Ares Armor)
Valkyries Rage:
This map is where you start needing Heimdall. Enemies like Thrud sometimes have too much sheer attacking power. Sult is also a must. If you have kept 3 buglers until now then you should use Hemera, maybe Syrinx. If you don't then those heroes aren't highly recommended until unless you have a Kylin. Even with one or two buglers then Hemera can still be used for some NPCs like Thrud and Mist. By now, more and more B.M.s are continous and the Oneiroi are getting less useful. Asclepius is now nearly a must thanks to Skuld. You will need at least 2 or 3 purple armours to pass this map. I don't know much about armaments but you should probably start farming them if you are having trouble with your armours. Red cloaks are also needed, as the Oneiroi get less useful. Once you beat Skuld and do your virgin VL, you will get a red book. Give that to Asteria who should already be trained and washed, (double washed for a VIP). You will need at least one Mjollnir for this map, as you start to rely on heroes like Heimdall and Sult.By the time you get to Siegfried, your hero list should something like this:
Heimdall
Sult
Hemera
Cronus
Eris
Asclepius
Chilly Mountain: (enchant is important now)
For this map you will need Sult as a must, and Heimdall for a few enemies. This is probably the last map where the Oneiroi are a must. Syrinx and Dio should be long gone, and your only pure B.M. heroes should be Aether and Hemera. If you are VIP then you should get two Rain Comeths and train Asteria and Mist. If you are not, then just get Asteria with the red book you get from your virgin VL. This map should be relatively easy, and the few hard enemies can be beaten with Hemera or Heimdall if you are prepared to gamble with divs. You should have 4-5 purple armours by now. (3 maxed purple armor)
If you are non-VIP and have gotten the red book from Valkyries Rage then an option is to get Mist and Edjo.
Here my guide ends and I do not have enough info and Sieg and the maps beyond.
There are a lot of builds for nils, for zeus there's the no mage build as opposed to the cookie cutter with mist. and for the no mage builds, some swear by the use of zeus, while others frown upon it. there's the zeus + 2 BM dps approach, and there's aso the 3 BM dps approach. and the Dps heroes also vary.. i have seen BRs of Perses+Hera+Zeus+2buglers completing nils.... so seriously there're a lot of combinations apart from the cookie cutter ones.
the KEY for nils, is enchant and gear. high enchant improves damage by a lot. 2 kylins could make a build work where 2 chimeras fail.
that being said, hera is the more popular choice over zephyrus, combined with anubis u get 2 x sacred stardust which is highly effective. even some athenians who dont have the advantage of zeus choose to use hemera+anubis combi too. personally i'm going 2 mage route since i dont have luck with kylin and my enchant luck sucks too, so it's cheaper and easier to go with 2 mages
No Mage Build (3BM build)
sult+anubis already = 2 sets of valor+spr enchant. lack of a mage means u need sult to do decent dps as opposed to just being a meat shield, so u can't be stingy on his enchant. then u need a 3rd set of spr enchant for whatever pure 3rd BM dps u're going to use. in order to really optimise a 3 BM build, u'll want at least 2 kylins, and a decent grade for spr hit armament. then u still end up without a real mage tank unless u triple wash anubis and give him high ele enchant too. or ele wash cronus which still means an extra set of ele enchant.
that's at least 6 x purple items (2 x armor, 2 x weap, 2 x mount), u need to enchant well.. red is relatively easy to enchant so the issue is usually purple. i don't know how good your luck is in enchanting, but for the average player it's not easy to even get 1 maxed set (or near maxed) of purple valor+spr enchant by nils , let alone 2 sets and more (without much camping that is). not to mention the time n drachs needed to commission for 2 kylins.
the thing most ppl don't realise, is how important stats are in nils, aka wash+enchant. and since wash is usually maxed out, what makes the difference is enchant. and that's all the more so for a pure BM build. for someone who already has 2 kylins (or good luck in commissioning) and good luck in enchanting, then that's the path for you. for someone with no kylin and no luck in enchanting, that route could take a horribly long time to realize it's potential.
the problem in nils lies with the last 4 npcs including elf. good enchant means u require less luck and divs to pass. bad enchant means u can probably spam a ton of divs n get to elf. but Elf himself will be a nightmare. n personally i dont see the point in wasting divs to get to elf if u cant beat him, since the whole reason of clearing nils is to be able to level beyond 130. beating elf is the goal, not getting to him.
my 2 sets of valor/spr enchant are +66 valor +89 spr, and +40 valor +70 spr. n the only reason y spr is decent is cause i'm using chims n not kylins. as u can see my my valor enchant sux even for my best set, and i've totally given up on the 2nd set of valor/spr enchant, my sult has tat crappy set and will just act as a meat shield to protect my mages all grade 0 armaments too, since the benefits of armaments are co-related to enchant, without good enchant armaments wouldn't help much either. (and upgrading armaments now is a waste if u fail.. since in another update u get an increase in the stats even if u fail)
PVP (3BM)
3BM for pvp works fine. in fact 3BM with the gear and enchants to back it up would fare better in pvp on the average (more consistent n reliable). the problem with mages in pvp is that they're extremely fragile, even with a maxed cloak.. if u dont have spr wash+spr enchant too. but most ppl (like myself) use mages coz they're cheaper eg only need single wash with ele enchant to work well for maps, so in pvp they get eaten by BMs (let's not bring up those who can afford to triple wash and enchant every stat).
so if u have the patience to make 3BM work, then yes it's a good choice.
just for referance sake, the BEST pvp lineup for 150 n 160 is 4 BM 1 bugler. BUT that is rediculously expensive and will be a dream for most except the high vips. most of the competitive ppl end up using 3 BM 1 mage, or 2 BM 2 mage by that stage.
Hopefully this guide will help those stuck in lost temple (LT). For
those who have not reached LT yet, it'll provide an insight on what
heroes fare well there, and what enemies you'll face. The focus will be
on Athenanian heroes, but i'll list out the various
faction heroes which can replace their athena counterparts (should be
pretty self explanatory... eg for athena's hemera, zeus has hera and
pois has nereus). I'll deal with selective NPCs which most ppl usually
have problems with, and skip those easier ones.
Heroes used :
I'll list 2 builds which i find to be the more cost efficient, meaning it works for the VIP 0...
no need for kylin, no need for purp books, no need for red horns etc.
Personally i prioritize cost efficiency over anything else, since not
everyone is willing to spend money on batheo, and for those who don't,
training unwanted heroes would be a costly mistake which wastes a ton of
time and severely impede your progress.
Build A (Mage+Moral suppression)
Asteria ( Pois = Peneus or Heph (heph isn't a thunderstorm mage, but his consistent DPS makes him the better option, Zeus = Eurotas)
The Oneiroi (Pois = Eurybia, Zeus = Notus)
Sult
Heimdall
Cronus
2nd Bugler, doesnt really matter which
*Note : This was the build i used to clear LT BEFORE armaments were
out. No nobility rank bonus either. The better choice for those with
sub-par enchant/gear. Downside being it's heavily dependant on Asteria's
mood for success, aka gambling with divs.
Build B (Pure BM build +No Moral suppression)
Sult
Hemera (Pois = Nereus, Zeus = Hera)
Aether (Pois = Any decent DPS. Zeus = Any
decent DPS, or Zeus. Both pois and zeus have sally heroes too, although
they do less damage than aether, so i'll leave it to personal choice
which hero fills the gap better. At any rate, Aether doesnt play a big
role here, he just acts as an additional DPS hero which can be
substituted.)
Heimdall
Cronus
2nd Bugler, again it doesnt matter which bugler
*Note : This build was used AFTER armaments were out, 1 set of grade
0 armaments was utilized together with Elder rank bonus 3% more attk n
def. Heavier emphasis on enchant/gear. More stable of the 2 builds since
it doesnt require much luck to succeed.
Disclaimer : Obviously there are more viable hero choices depending
on which faction u're in, i'm just listing the more practical choices.
Gear Reccomendations :
Armaments - 1 set of grade 0 armaments does just fine.
Armor - 3 Ares armors for front line heroes, preferably max enhanced.
Cloaks - Redundant for moral sup build. 3 x
red cloaks 3k spr def or higher if no moral sup (just a rough
guideline, u can make do with lower too, but the higher the easier)
Weapons - 2 x purp weaps, one preferably
max enhanced, the other up to personal choice since heimdall is there
for the block, higher damage is nice but not a must.
Mounts - 2 x red mounts for build A, 3 x red mounts for build B. Preferably all max enhance or close to that.
Books - 1 x red book for build A, preferably max enhanced.
The Hated NPCs :
(Note the first picture will show the NPC's troops, while the second
picture will have build A on the left side and build B on the right
side)
Isis
Nothing much to comment here, Isis is the easiest of the harder npcs in LT.
Nut
THE npc most ppl get stuck on in LT. Really a tough nut to crack.
Seth
Pray that Seth's dancer and thunderstorm mage fail more than they succeed.
Shu
Dodge dodge dodge... Shu has 3 x calvary troops at front line, hopefully they don't dodge much.
Ra
Another npc a lot of ppl get stuck at. Notice that i used Mist and rally
hero+dancers for Ra, which i didn't include under the heroes list,
because the rally hero n dancers can be level 1 so zero training
required, and while mist is the easiest mage choice for athenians and
zeus, heph works well for pois, and thunderstorm mage works too. so mist
isn't neccessary, i just used her cause i had her and she requires less
luck than a thunderstorm mage.
As for the BM build.. dodge is once again the key factor.
Anubis
Anubis is actually easier than Ra, since it's mostly dependant on
whether Heimdall blocks or not. Any decent mage works in build A,
cyclone mages are an option too for zeus n pois. For build B, any
continuous BM hero works as the 2nd dps. the top and bottom bugler
should be naked aka no armor, so they die within the first round instead
of providing free moral. 2 buglers are enough for build A, 3 buglers
are needed for build B so the 2nd dps can fire off a BM right from the
1st round.
(Full Zeusian Guide) – From Trial to Temple! by Inevitable
1) Introduction
My attempt to guide anyone to Lost Temple Map. some things may be more detailed
than other things, as the thread is going to be huge already as it is, I am
open for any questions or things that are unclear in the guide.
Furthermore, I'd like to state that i'm not saying this is the best way to do
this! Its merely how I progressed through this game, and a collection of what
other players have posted here and there about zeusians, all stuffed into one
guide for your reading pleasure. You don't have to follow this thread to get to
Lost Temple, I'm sure there are many other ways. With that being said, lets
head to the start of this guide:
As the title suggests, this is a guide written for anyone who wants to progress
in a fast (and efficient if I say so myself) way through every expedition map
as a Zeusian. I’m going to assume you know the basics of the game. Before you
decide to follow this path there may be some advantages and disadvantages of
going this route.
Advantages:
- Access to higher levels, new buildings, which results in faster training and
more drachmas to work with.
- Access to new and stronger heroes, as well as better equipment.
- Lower enhanced equipment needed due to Zeus boosting morale for all heroes,
resulting in higher damage output
Disadvantages:
- Little focus on cloaks for the majority of the game, this may result in
losing some player vs player (PvP) battles.
- Less laurels at your disposal when you constantly level up
It’s hard to give step by step instructions, you have to figure out a lot
yourself for the most part. I can however show what the requirements for
certain maps are and use BRs as examples.
2) Hero selection
Here are the heroes
that you should end up using throughout all the maps:
Trial of Perseus:
Atelante + bellerophon
Defence of Athens + beasts of the wilderniss:
Atelante + Bellerophon + Odysseus
Jack and the beanstalk + Dispute of the golden Apple + Heath Aflame:
Atelante + Odysseus + Artemis + Asclepius
Endless Underworld Rivers + House of Hades + faction maps:
Maia + Hecate + Eris + Hebe + Artemis (Asclepius back up)
Tartarus:
Maia + Hebe + Eris + Notus + Zeus + (Artemis) (Asclepius back up)
Ragnarok + Beyond the Desert + Valkyries Rage
Maia + Hebe/Eris + Cronus + Notus + Zeus + Hera (Asclepius back up)
Chilly Mountain + Lost Temple:
Sult + Hebe/Eris + Cronus + Notus + Zeus + Hera (Asclepius back up) (+
Heimdall)
Total: 15 heroes trained.
3) Trial of perseus to Faction Maps
This is only a brief summary sadly, as I lack time to write everything in
detail if you have question: Ask me! or someone else with the knowledge
Trial of Perseus:
Use atelante and bellerophon, upgrade the bronze sword and pigskin armor to
G1/9, its simple really.
Trojan War:
Level up assembly to lvl 10, recruit odysseus. Start on your techs and upgrade
lochoi formation to lvl 2 for Persephone. Map Reward is an Endless regret lvl
12 blue weapon. This will be the weapon for odysseus for the next 2 maps.
Defense of Athens + Beasts in the Wilderniss:
Level up assembly and techs to lvl 12, give odysseus the endless regret, from
there you could finish defence of Athens at level 12, if you are struggling
move up to lvl 15 as you will need that level for beast of the wilderniss map.
Heracles from Defense of Athens is easy at lvl 15. Asclepius might be slightly
harder due to the stun mage, just try a couple of times to push your luck.
Jack and the Beanstalk + Labyrinth of Crete:
The map reward from Defense of Athens is a blue mount, this will be Atelante’s
temporary weapon until you obtain the map reward cychreides from Heath Aflame.
Assembly will be further enhanced to lvl 25-30 for jack and the beanstalk.
Heath Aflame + Dispute of the golden Apple:
Assembly will go up to about lvl 40-42. Heath Aflame will give you the yellow
mount cychreides which will be your most important equipment for quite a while.
Roaring Sea:
Further upgrade assembly to lvl 50 so you can deploy the 5th hero. Needless to
say your prestige should be around/over 15k prestige by now.
Falling Earth:
This is where you should recruit Maia, so make sure you have 50k prestige when
you hit this map. Obviously atelante would have last longer, but Maia can
easily take you from Falling Earth to Valkyries Rage. You may want to consider
slowly commission for a red mount when you hit this map. I personally obtained
my red mount at Endless Underworld Rivers. at House of Hades you definitely
want a red mount, because it saves drachmas and time if you don’t further
invest in the yellow mount.
Burning Sky:
Assembly to lvl 60, you can start farming laurels more here to actually wash
your heroes properly at AL2. Get your techs to lvl 60 and get washes around
+70-80 for your BM and 50-60 for buglers + dancer (higher is better).
Endless Underworld Rivers:
Assembly will go even higher to around lvl 80, (so make sure you have farmed
enough laurels from AL2, as you will skip the legion on this map most likely!)
Mount will be around +2800 to +3000… preferably red mount by now.
House of Hades:
Assembly to lvl 87, Mount to +3500, heroes with ren levels at 80 or aboveand
you should be in good shape for this map. Armors don’t have to be high here,
600 valor should be good enough.
Athena's Wisdom + Poseidon's Roar:
This is where you will be needing that red mount, as it will be maxed to
assembly level (lvl 100 by now). Before you do that, make sure you farmed
enough laurels from HL2, Maia should be +100 in spirit wash by now.
Equipment:
Mount: around 6k
Armors: around 1300-1400
Cloaks: 1000 will do
5) Ragnarok
After Defeating
Cronus, there are four things to do.
1. Try to recruit Cronus as soon as possible, he's the best Bugler with
80/70/110 stats
2. Raise Assembly to 110, it'll unlock the 3rd training ground.
3. Farm Lv 80 Ares’ Armor.
4. Get 2nd red horse if you didn’t already have it.
Ragnarok is a fairly hard map due to the many mages that you will face. Main
force 4 can easily slow you down a month as it has 2 meteorite mages and 1
burning golden bull, making it hard for maia to deal solid damage, you may need
hera here already.
Work on your third training ground and the lvl 110 techs, meanwhile Renascence
all your heroes once again. Have their Ren levels between 105-111 and you
should be in good shape. There is no real rush on this map, Heimdall is worth
recruiting, but not used until much later. Sult is useful but you will have to
farm lvl 85 Mjöllnir first. Hel is not worth the extra training slot. For Sult,
try to have at least 2 good red cloaks around 2300 spirit shield. Other cloaks
may still be yellow, if you cannot find the drachmas to commission for more
cloaks.
For Beyond the Desert
you start unlocking the armaments. These are just the white ones which cannot
be upgraded, but they are enough to get you through the Lost Temple map, so you
can farm these and forget about the blue, green and yellow ones if you like.
While doing this map you can slowly start recruiting heimdall and sult, once
you unlock them start training/washing them slowly, remember that you won’t use
them until much later, so focus on your main heroes. If you have 5 Ares Armor
you can start farming a Mjollnir from Forseti.
Beyond the Desert can be finished really fast if you have Hera fully trained.
You could complete it in less than 2 weeks if you solely focus on enhancing
your highest armor once you have beaten Ragnarok map. Khnum and Sekhmet are
likely the worst npc’s you will face. Khnum can be taken care of without too
much when using Hera. Sekhmet requires a bit of luck to pull off as your Zeus
needs to block 2 turns in a row. You can either spam some divs or wait until
you get stronger.
Cloak:
Seal Of Soul (G6)8 +2364
Seal Of Soul (G4)3 +1414
Seal Of Soul (G3)8 +1224
Violet Gold Kasaya (G6)7 +2386 Spirit +30(Max.)
Violet Gold Kasaya (G4)9 +1702
This guide is not aimed at anyone below level 100, its aimed at when the
game gets serious and you need to streamline your play and resources to
still beat it - more importantly if your level 80-117 i hope to show
you how to set up for that stage of the game wayyyyyy in advance. I
share my experience of double washing around 50 heroes and realising
what errors i made in mid game which had to be reversed when the game
stepped it up....
Level 120-130+ - The end state....
What are we trying to achieve with washing? Simply put we need to hit
+50 stats over the npc, or sometimes with lesser heroes to stop the npc
being +50 over us. At the same stat the npc and us do 1:1 dmg (100%
versus 100%). If the npc hits lets say our 2nd line bugler he might hit
to 150% or more. Washing and later gemming thus becomes crucial in
swinging a 1:1 fight to 3:1 in our favour (150% out and 50% incoming
dmg). To do this we will requiring total stats (gems + base + wash) to
hit around 250-300 or more by nilis.
Base Stats
In the early game these are irrelevant as a good wash will drop you into
the npc range or above it. Resist this urge if your thinking of later.
For example i washed Hebe for valor, that worked until desert, she
could and did tank okay. This is a huge waste for later, her best stat
is Ele, wash her for that as later there is no way she can tank a valor
hitter, max gemming would not make up for the poor base stat. Sult's
ele is another example and to a lesser degree triple washing anubis, if
you take it on, be FULLY aware he will only hit 75+150 and then need
around +75 gemming to fully mitigate the mages to half damage - a huge
investment in laurels and gems!! For the very highest echelons of the
game i think you need to avoid investing in base stats of 84 or less,
unless its a very special exception. (Note with anubis you might decide
getting back to 100% mage dmg rather than 150% incoming mage dmg will
do)
The Game Setup
If you bothered to look at the game you will have noticed its very
clever, shifting 30 min windows, refresh quota every so many hours, odd
times to reset the day and then the clock etc. Its skillfully
constructed to encourage lots of logins per day. As such i firmly
believe that the washing is a hidden gauge, they have carefully avoided
you being able to log in, hit your labs, take max PG, max crops and
everything in one swoop.
As such you need to 'dip a toe' in a 30 min window to see how its
playing, expect 20 washes to let you know and then you can decide - if
the window is good you want a good stockpile to make the most of it, i
use 250k laurels at 130 for window exploitation.
A good time to try is around the min PG, if crops are also low then
you can bet something else is high, they dont put everything high and
low together remember? I often find 50-65% PG is a good time to dip a
toe...
Tells and Basic Understanding of random number generation
They used code for washing and its not massively complicated but we cannot see it.
Max Wash = current +5
Min Wash = as low as 1
Pot = Random total of stats but gold increases the overall amount in there
Dice Theory
For double washing i want you to think of you current wash as a 4 on the
dice, but your rolling 2 of them. So what we really want is to reject
all 1-3 rolls, we might take a 4 4 roll if a smidge better, a 5 3 or 3 5
might work and 5 5 or 4 5 or 5 4 is kewl and the 6s excellent!!
VEGAS THEORY - Tells....
Played a slot machine? The machine is design to pay out once it gets so
much in, the stat washer has more favourable and less favourable times
to wash also. Keep an eye on the number of 4s and above it rolls. Its
the like the hot girl in the disco flicking her hair, she might be
interested!! So Pay ATTENTION!! to all those rejected rolls. You are
looking for how many 5s and 6s it hits on the stats your trying to move.
E.g. I have +100 +100 in the batch of 20 do i see quite a few over 100
in each category? Good cause that means the 5 and 6s are there, i just
the them to happen both at the same time - e.g. 1 in 3 chance of a 5 or
6, but a 1 in 9 chance for them both to happen together. I also should
pay attention to the nearly accepts 4 3 combo's close to my wash but not
quite good enough - all of these together let you see how the 'window'
is playing!
Conditional Gains (- +, + -)
The thinking man's accept wash. I get something but lose something.
For example i have a wash of +50 Valor +50 Spirit (eg sult) do i take
+49V +52S - yes i do. The total is higher but keep it simpler we need
to wash quickly and carefully - i get -1, +2 {take}. As long as the
overall picture is a positive gain and even a 0 net gain is fine if you
need to keep stats close to each other. Think of the 0 gain as double 4
and the conditional gains as 5 and 3 or 3 and 5 on the dice, slight win
but with penalty.
Absolute Gains
Easy, peasy both stats go up - GREAT!! This is the window you are
looking for, keep a track of how many double increases you get - it
could decide whether you go 'ALL IN' with your laurels. Any window can
produce a flukey double 6 result but how many is it letting you have?
Stat Balancing
We don't know why but the code likes to know what your trying to do.
For example it won't ping pong the highest stat of 95 around any of the
three fields randomly so it has rules and a structure. The best example
of this is converting a single wash to double - e.g. i take my cronus
and decide to use him as anti-mage. I have to accept significant losses
until i get the valor and ele stat close to each other - this is
balancing. You should aim to keep
the double wash within 15 of each other - e.g. 40 55. The + - gains
always try to make it diverge so if its not giving you a gain to keep
them together accept a -1 loss to get them back together.
Stuck Stats / Stuck Character
When you click accept wash, watch the game 'blink' the character, it
saves the heroes new wash. So if your stuck, close but no gains,
consider taking a same wash or even one less total stat to kick in a
save. Eg the un-needed stat might change (perhaps 8 ele to 4 or vice
versa). The random theory often gives gains close together so the
'save' might help. This might give credence to the swapping heroes to
wash, a saved wash on the other char could do the same.
Poor windows often for some reason not wash one stat as well as the
other, e.g. observing spirit i rarely see a 5 or 6 (above my current
wash) ever, never mind in connection with a good roll on the other stat.
These are the windows to avoid as they will rarely give absolute gains
and are where you hear people saying i never get good washes etc - they
simply dont know what to look for.
The final stretch.... the last 20
The hero is reluctant to do the final 20, so eg above 100 to 120 (hero
level 100). If you can use the free plat wash if not keep pushing,
always set up to keep one stat from maxxing into the final 5 range
before the other. Eg 116 versus 105 [120 cap]. Also, consider leaving
the bullseye clear in the final steps so that +5 +5 the 'perfect roll'
is still there e.g. dont take 118 113 over 115 115 - avoid letting one
stat fall below the +5 max to 'top off'
The First 25
Free plat washes almost perfectly take you to +25, +25 which can be quite a saving on laurels.
Some basic rules are this, stats are the most important thing in the
game, so get 4 gem runs done a day, farm legions hard for laurels (i do
18 each and every day) and think is that really going to be worth it?
Can i really spare 2mn laurels and 500 gems to let anubis take 50% less
mage dmg - or can i play smarter with formation and hero line-up?
Hopefully this will help my fellow players, i for one never found a
guide with any useful content so see if you agree about the 'tells' and
other aspects, if you dont then the guide still holds true for many
other aspects of washing.
